Gauging our progress

Learning is a continuous process and assessment is a tool to

measure the learner's ability. In other words, assessment is a key

component of learning. Acknowledging this fact, teachers at
Jaspal Kaur Public School adopted the most effective and student

friendly online evaluation tool to calculate, measure, and

document the academic readiness, learning progress, skill

acquisition and educational needs of the students for quick
evaluation of various parameters.

To achieve the desired results, the examination team went for a

dual strategy of pairing objective and subjective assessment
through Google forms featuring quizzes with multiple-choice

questions, fill ups, true or false and writing skill based questions

aiming to test the comprehension of numerous concepts.
Students’ progress was monitored by the facilitators using a

variety of tools for assessment and evaluation purposes. The

modified modules yielded the desired results on spreadsheets.
Concurrently viva voce concept deciphered the multi faceted

oratorical skills of the assesses at a macro level. Different

components to assess the speaking and listening skills were also

adopted to up skill our senior students.
