Handling children during lockdown was the most challenging part especially for the
children who are by nature, hyperactive as well as those who have some learning
challenges. To help these children and their parents in this tough time, regular online
sessions were taken by our school Special Educator through video calls. Various

worksheets were also shared with the children according to their respective educational
needs. Additionally, parents were also motivated and counselled at regular intervals on
how to look after their kids during this timer. Parents appreciated the school’s initiative
through their positive written feedback.

Cyber Crime & Safety Workshop For Students
India is ranked third in world for highest number of Cyber threats
and in terms of targeted attacks. To keep JKPS students safe from
Cyber Crime, School Counsellor, Dr. Gurleen Sawhney and Mrs.
Prabhjot Gulati from the computer department, conducted online
workshops at regular intervals for different classes ranging from

VIII to XII. The School Counsellor communicated that – ‘family,
not strangers, are our strength.’ There is no control on the content
once you put anything online. How you use social media becomes
your character certificate later. Mrs. Prabhjot Gulati explained how
computers can be both a Target and also a Weapon. She conveyed
about different cyber crimes like hacking, spamming and many
other online threats. Awareness on Cyber laws, Cyber ethics and
Cyber footprints also helped students to be alert and safe.
