VIRTUAL COUNSELING IN JKPS
The purpose of education system is not only to foster academic skills but overall
development of students. Counseling is a process which helps one clarify issues, explore
options, develop strategies and increase self-awareness. To facilitate maximum personal
development in all spheres, need-based counseling sessions were conducted online. Few
students had initial inhibitions attending the classes online, hence counseling was
provided to help overcome their fears. The aim was to provide opportunities to students
to work in a self-defined way towards living in a more satisfying and resourceful manner
as individuals. Personality assessment tests were also conducted for class XII students.
They were encouraged to join several webinars and workshops in order to improve their
decision-making capabilities. Few examples are depicted below:
