Although there had been certain teething issues upon inception, the conventional
barrier overpowered taking own mission to the next level.
Within a span of a few weeks, I realized that counselling students to keep them engaged
amidst the lockdown was as important as the actual teaching itself.
We were in an unprecedented situation with no established template to follow.
Teachers had now joined the brave team of COVID Warriors, managing their own homes
which had its own sets of challenges and ensuring there was no gap areas for their
students.
Power Point Presentations, something I had seen my husband work on in his line of
work, has now become a norm for me as well. Google docs, spreadsheets, Google forms
and now Microsoft Teams. These were never part of my lexicon, but I am glad I have had

chalk and duster, the faces of my students, the clutter and chaos of a real classroom. But
every cloud has a silver lining! The rainbow will finally burst through!
